2011 Arizona Cardinals
The 2011 season opened nobody would figure that Kevin Kolb would be the man behind center for the first preseason game but there he was, going 4-7 for 68 yards. What they did not expect was to be scrambling for a running back capable of carrying the load for the team after rookie 2nd round draftee RB Ryan Williams went down for the season. First round pick (5th overall) CB Patrick Peterson is playing well and pushing veteran CB A.J. Jefferson for a starting position and Texas DE Sam Acho, a 4th round selection, has played both the left and right sides and is expected to back up DE Clark Haggans. WR DeMarco Sampson, the teams 7th round draft pick, has impressed his coaches with great hands and polished routes.
Look for the Cardinals to push for the playoffs and for the tickets at the University of Phoenix Stadium to be hard to come by.
